Tsamichas Law Firm – First Legal AI Vibe-Coding Hackathon in Athens
Tsamichas Law Firm was pleased to attend the first Legal AI Vibe-Coding Hackathon in Athens, an official side event of the Panathēnea Festival, hosted by the European Legal Technology Association (ELTA). The Firm was represented by partner Spyros-Nikitas Tsamichas, who joined a gathering of legal practitioners, technologists, and innovators exploring the rapidly converging worlds of law and artificial intelligence.
A Meeting Point for Law and Technology
The Hackathon brought together some of the most engaged voices in legal innovation for a programme that balanced reflection with hands-on creation. Energising fireside chats and insightful discussions featured Konstantinos P. Anagnostopoulos, Michalis Rikakis, Raymond Blyd, Christos Makris (LL.M., CAIO®), Yiannis Kanellopoulos, Nicolino Gentile, Vasiliki Sfika, and Denia Psarrou, a line-up spanning legal practice, legal technology, and applied AI.
The heart of the event, however, was the live demo presentations from the participating teams, showcasing what becomes possible when legal expertise meets hands-on AI tooling. The demonstrations offered a vivid glimpse of how AI-assisted “vibe-coding” can accelerate the design and prototyping of legal tools, turning practitioner insight directly into working solutions.
Why This Matters for the Practice of Law

For Tsamichas Law Firm, attending the Hackathon was a natural extension of the Firm’s commitment to forward-looking, technology-aware legal practice. As a Greek international law firm operating across multiple practice areas and working in Greek, English, and Italian, we see the integration of artificial intelligence into legal services not as a distant prospect but as an unfolding reality — one that demands both technical literacy and rigorous professional judgement. The future of legal practice is being written in code as much as in statute. Events like this one are where that future takes shape, and where the legal profession can help ensure that emerging tools are built responsibly, ethically, and in service of clients and the rule of law.
Appreciation to the Organisers and Sponsors
Tsamichas Law Firm extends its appreciation to ELTA and the Panathēnea Festival for organising the event, and to the sponsors dikaio.ai, code4thought, and Vibecode.law, whose support made the Hackathon possible. We are glad to have been part of the conversation — and we look forward to continuing to engage with the legal technology community as it shapes the next chapter of the profession.
How Tsamichas Law Can Assist
As artificial intelligence becomes embedded in legal, compliance and business processes, organisations need to consider not only what the technology can do, but how it can be deployed within an increasingly complex regulatory environment. Tsamichas Law combines legal expertise with an active understanding of emerging technologies to advise businesses on AI governance, the EU AI Act, data protection, technology contracts, cybersecurity obligations and the legal risks associated with AI-enabled products and services. Our involvement in the Legal AI community helps us remain close to how these technologies are developing in practice, enabling us to provide legal advice that reflects both the regulatory framework and the operational realities facing businesses adopting AI.
